Ghee-Kesar Jalebi | Sweet- Dessert

Ghee-Kesar-Instant- Jalebi - Sweet-Dessert






Ingredients -

Refined flour (multigrain flour or wheat flour) - 1 small bowl
Sugar - 1 small bowl
Curd - ¼ cup or 2 tsp
Baking soda or baking powder - ¼ tsp or a pinch of
Saffron or kesar - ¼ tsp
Green cardamom powder or hari elaichi - ¼ tsp
Organic or natural food colour ( orange or yellow) - a pinch of
Desiccated coconut or nariyal ka bhura - ¼ cup
Ghee or clarified butter - to fry










Preparation - 


1. To make a Jalebi batter, take a big sized bowl or a mixing bowl. Put 1 small bowl of refined flour or ( multigrain flour or wheat flour), add ¼ cup or 3 tsp of curd. 

2. Mix well with a whisker or a mixing spoon. Add 1 tsp of ghee or clarified butter for adding softness in the jalebis, a pinch of organic or natural food colour (orange or yellow) and ¼ cup or 2-3 tsp desiccated coconut or nariyal ka bhura. 

3. Mix all well with little amount of water to make a pouring consistency batter and batter should not be of too thick or too thin consistency. Keep it cover for 15-20.


4. Next, make a sugar syrup with 1 small bowl of sugar and ¾ of small bowl of water. Add ¼ tsp of saffron strands, ¼ tsp of green cardamom powder. You can add rose essence (optional) or any essence that you want to add for good aroma and taste.

5. Simmer it on medium flame for a boil and for extra 3-4 more on low flame till one string consistency sugar syrup. Then, turn off the flame.

6. To make a jalebi cone, take a thick polythene bag. Roll and make it of cone shape. Pour the batter more than ½ of the cone or piping bag. Add ¼ tsp baking soda or baking powder before 5-10 minutes of making jalebi and mix. 

7. Put ghee or clarified butter in a wok upto less than half of the wok. Hot it on medium flame. For frying the jalebis, ghee or clarified butter should be of medium temperature ( nor too hot or too cold).











8. To make a jalebi, make a small cut on the edge of the jalebi cone or piping bag. Press or squeeze the jalebi cone or piping bag and move it from inside to outside, Make it of round shape or circle of 4-5 strings by continuously rotating your hands as shown in the image. Fry it on low-medium flame till light brown colour and crispy.

9. Take out all the jalebis and put all the hot jalebis directly in the warm or hot sugar syrup for 4-6 minutes. 

Garnish with few kesar or saffron strands, chopped pistachio and almonds, desiccated coconut or nariyal ka bhura and rose petals.
