Ghee-Gud Atte ka Halwa | Sweet-dessert















Ingredients :

Multigrain flour or atta - 2 cups
Ghee or clarified butter -1¼ cup
Jaggery or sugar - 1½ cup
Almond flakes - ¼ cup
Almondette (chirongi dana) - ½ tsp
Chopped cashew nuts - ¼ cup
Raisins or kishmish - ¼ cup
Chopped coconut - ¼ cup
Kesar or saffron (optional) - ¼ tsp
Cardamom powder - ½ tsp

 

Method :

1. Add 2 spoon ghee or clarified butter. Roast all the dry fruits on a low flame till colour changes or light brown.

2. Add 1¼ cup ghee or clarified butter in a wok, hot it. Add atta or (multigrain atta) or wheat flour or (multigrain flour).

3. Roast the multigrain flour or atta on a low flame & stir continuously or cook till light brown colour.

4. Add 3-4 cups water on a low flame, stir continuously to avoid lumps. Cook on a low medium flame till a boil and water get soaked less.

5. Add jaggery (grinded or grated ) or sugar. Mix well. After 2 minutes, add cardamom powder, soaked saffron on warm water.

6. Cook on a low medium flame for 5-6 minutes till it removes clarified butter or ghee from the sides and becomes non sticky and halwa consistency (keep it medium thick nor too flowing consistency or too thick). Add all dry fruits. Mix well.

7. Serve and garnish this sweet dessert with 2 tsp ghee (clarified butter) and dry fruits on it.
